Who Can Apply for SBI Clerk 2026?

Educational Qualification
The candidate must have a Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.

Local Language Proficiency Test
Provisionally selected candidates who have not studied the specified local language of the State applied for in Class 10 or Class 12 will have to appear for the Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT).
The test is conducted after provisional selection but before joining the Bank. Candidates who fail the test will not be offered appointment.

The pay scale for Junior Associates is:
The starting Basic Pay is ₹26,730 per month, which includes two advance increments admissible to graduates.
According to the notification, the total starting emoluments of a clerical cadre employee at a metropolitan centre such as Mumbai are around ₹46,000 per month, including applicable Dearness Allowance, other allowances and the two additional increments for newly recruited graduate Junior Associates.

Probation Period
