MSCWB Recruitment 2020 – Municipal Service Commission, West Bengal invites online job application from the eligible Indain candidates for the post of Assistant Engineer, Sub Assistant Engineer for 79 vacancies in various disciplines under Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Candidates with the qualification of B.E/ B.Tech/ Diploma in respective disciplines within the age limit of 18 to 37 years are eligible to apply for this job. The selection process is based on the Examination, Personality Test / Interview.

         Interested and eligible candidates can apply online at MSCWB website (www.mscwb.org) on or before 15 May 2020. The detailed eligibility and application process are given below.

  1. Assistant Engineer- (Civil)
  2. Sub-Assistant Engineer- (Civil)
  3. Assistant Engineer- (Electrical)
  4. Sub-Assistant Engineer- (Electrical)
  5. Sub-Assistant Engineer- (Machenical)

1. Assistant Engineer-(Civil)

  • Vacancies:- 01.                         
  • Category wise Vacancy Position:- S.T.- 1
  • Scale of Pay and Grade Pay:- Pay level-16 of the Pay Matrix of ROPA 2019.
  • Minimum Educational Knowledge:-          1. A dergee in Civil Engineering from a recognised University.                                        2. Working knowledge in Computer Applications.


2. Sub-Assistant Engineer-(Civil)

  • Vacancies:- 42                         
  • Category wise Vacancy Position:- UR-23, UR(PWD)*-1, SC-10, ST-2, OBC(A)-4, OBC-2.
  • Scale of Pay and Grade Pay:- Pay level-12 of the Pay Matrix of ROPA 2019.
  • Minimum Educational Knowledge:- A Diploma Certificate in Civil Engineering from West Bengal State Council of Technical Education or its equivalent.

3. Assistant Engineer-(Electrical)

  • Vacancies:- 01.                         
  • Category wise Vacancy Position:- S.T.- 1
  • Scale of Pay and Grade Pay:- Pay level-16 of the Pay Matrix of ROPA 2019.
  • Minimum Educational Knowledge:-          1. A dergee in Electrical Engineering from a recognised University.                                        2. Working knowledge in Computer Applications.

4. Sub-Assistant Engineer-(Electrical)

  • Vacancies:- 12                         
  • Category wise Vacancy Position:- UR-05, UR(PWD)*-01, SC-02, ST-01, OBC(A)-02, OBC-01.
  • Scale of Pay and Grade Pay:- Pay level-12 of the Pay Matrix of ROPA 2019.
  • Minimum Educational Knowledge:- A Diploma Certificate in Electrical Engineering from West Bengal State Council of Technical Education or its equivalent.

5. Sub-Assistant Engineer-(Machenical)

  • Vacancies:- 23                       
  • Category wise Vacancy Position:-UR-12, SC-06,ST-02 OBC(A)-02, OBC-02.
  • Scale of Pay and Grade Pay:- Pay level-12 of the Pay Matrix of ROPA 2019.
  • Minimum Educational Knowledge:- A Diploma Certificate in Civil Engineering from West Bengal State Council of Technical Education or its equivalent.


    Age (As on 01.01.2020)

    • Minimum Age- 18
    • Maximum Age-37
    Age Relaxation:
    Age Relaxation is applicable to the  SC/ST/OBC(A&B) candidates of West Bengal as per rules.

    SC & ST- 5 years, OBC(A&B)- 3 years.
    Others- As per Govt rules.

    • Last Date of Online Registration and Challan generation: 15.05.2020 31.08.2020
    • Last Date of Application fee Deposition: 18.05.2020 01.09.2020
